Questions

Questions from Lake Maxinkuckee owners

Still have a question? Call or text (574) 361-4416, or send it with the form below.

01What rules govern a pier or boat lift at Lake Maxinkuckee?

State rule 312 IAC 11 covers piers on Indiana's public freshwater lakes. Check with the DNR for a specific address. A temporary pier is covered by a general license if it is easily removable, reaches no more than 150 feet from shore and does not infringe on a neighbor's access. Permanent structures and new seawalls need a written license.

02Do you look after Culver lake houses year round?

Yes. A seasonal house gets closing, check-ins through the empty months and opening in spring. A year-round house gets the full management plan.

Close the Culver house properly this year

Northern Indiana freezes about two weeks before the south of the state, and the calendar should say so.

Tell us where the house is and when you are usually there.

  • We walk the house, the well and the shoreline
  • Closing, check-ins and opening go on a dated plan
  • Anything that needs a trade becomes our call
