Questions

What owners ask about projects

Still have a question? Call or text (574) 361-4416, or send it with the form below.

01What does a renovation project manager do?

We scope the work, source and vet contractors, compare bids, schedule the trades and walk the site at each stage, so you get one point of contact from first quote to final punch list.

02Do you mark up contractor pricing?

No. We don't charge markups on any work. The vendor invoices you at the vendor's price. The membership pays for the planning and the coordination, which means there is no reason for ABODE to prefer an expensive answer.

03What size of home project is worth handing over?

Both ends of the range. One client described a long to-do list of small house repairs and difficulty gaining control on it, and within two months more items were crossed off that list than in the entire past year. Another had flooring replaced. Small jobs are usually the ones that never get done, because each one costs a search.

04What happens if something urgent comes up mid project?

It gets handled alongside. One client noted that an emergency leak did not slow that progress but was addressed promptly too. The leak and the flooring are the same phone call.

05Can you advise on a renovation decision before I commit?

A good part of the job is exactly that. We know which vendors work in the area, what maintenance is suggested for a house of that age and type, and can consult on difficult decisions. Over 1,500 projects across every trade is a lot of quotes to have read.
