Local notes
Indiana's largest natural lake
Lake Wawasee, at 3,000 acres, is Indiana's largest natural lake. Under the state's Lake Preservation Act, new or refaced seawalls need prior approval from the DNR Division of Water, so shoreline work must be permitted before it is scheduled.

In Kosciusko County, about 4,300 of roughly 6,800 vacant housing units were vacant for seasonal, recreational or occasional use (ACS 2023 5-year). Many lake homes sit unoccupied for long stretches, so regular check-ins and winterization matter.

Questions
Questions from Lake Wawasee owners
Still have a question? Call or text (574) 361-4416, or send it with the form below.
01Do you look after lake houses on the whole of Lake Wawasee?
Yes, Lake Wawasee and Syracuse Lake, along with the town of Syracuse around them.
02Can one firm manage a lake house and a house near Indianapolis?
Yes. Both properties can sit under one plan with one point of contact.
03When should a Wawasee lake house be closed for winter?
Ahead of the first hard freeze. The National Weather Service publishes normal freeze dates by station, and closing is scheduled to the forecast for the house rather than to a fixed date.
04Which lakes in Kosciusko County do you cover?
Lake Wawasee and Syracuse Lake, along with Tippecanoe Lake and Webster Lake. Shoreline work on Indiana's public freshwater lakes falls under 312 IAC 11.
