Local notes

A reservoir with a neighborhood around it

Indiana boating rules (312 IAC 5-9-3) bar operating a boat within 300 feet of the Morse dam spillway crest and within 200 feet of the South Harbor and Morse Park beach shorelines, and require idle speed in several mapped areas of the reservoir.

USGS surveys measured Morse Reservoir at 1,439 acres in 2016, with sediment building up about 0.5 inch per year, faster than at Geist (0.2 inch). About 95% of its roughly 35-mile shoreline was lined with homes by 2020.

Still have a question? Call or text (574) 361-4416, or send it with the form below.

02Where can I see the Morse Reservoir water level?

Citizens Energy Group publishes the live level for both Morse and Geist.

03Can you cover both the Cicero and Noblesville ends of Morse Reservoir?

Yes, and the surrounding Hamilton County communities. Noblesville has a page of its own covering the town away from the water.
